Subduction Zone

Model for the Subduction Zone

The subduction zone is the place where two lithospheric plates come together. They both riding over the other. Its move really slowly across the surface over millions of years. When two tectonic plate meet each other underneath the other they mantle is the hotter layer inside the crust. When that happen his call boundary between the plates a subduction zone. The tectonic plates can goes both side of continental crust and oceanic crust. When the hot spot malt the magma its became lava and push up to the atmosphere and create mountain. There was lots of mountain made up cause of the subduction zone. For example the massive Himalaya mountain china, it was created by the subduction system. The subduction zone occur all around the edge of the pacific ocean. Like offshore of Washington, Canada, Alaska, Russia, Japan and Indonesia. Those are called by "Ring of Fire" that cause for the biggest earthquake and terrible tsunamis happen.

Convergent Boundary

Model of Convergent Boundary

Three type of convergent boundary.
  1. Oceanic-Continental
#Two plates will meet, one is oceanic and another is continental.
  1. Continental-Continental
#In this case neither piece of crust is dense enough to subduct
  1. Oceanic-Oceanic
#Two plates meet with oceanic crust colliding.

The Convergent boundary is where two or more tectonic plates collide with each other causing massive earth movements. The earthquakes and volcanoes are common near convergent boundaries. This happen because of pressure, friction, and plate material melting in the mentlew.
Two types of Subduction:
1: Oceanic: The Oceanic crust moves under. A deep ocean teach forms at the coast. Oceanic is all about water.
1:Continental: Continental crust is all about land. The edge of the continental plate folds into a huge mountain range.
Continental-Oceanic

image.jpegimage.jpeg
The continental-oceanic that to plates will meet, one is oceanic and the another is continental. The oceanic is always subduct, being denser. The continental  more buoyant (Bright). They are created when oceanic plates push into and move underneath a continental plate. The oceanic plate actually lifts up to create a mountain range and the continental plate that over rides. When continental  and oceanic plates collide the thinner and more dense oceanic plate is overridden by the thicker and less dense continental plate. They create volcanoes. The type of volcano create is start volcano / composite volcano. For a good example for this, is the Washington- oregon coastline of the united states is an convergent plate boundary.

Earth's Interior

Model of earth interior

The earth means surface and the interior is domain of geology. The earth is divided into four main layers. The earth interior system formed 4.54 billon years ago. It discovered by recording of seismic waves from earthquakes. The earthquakes gave the first clue.
  • Inner core
# Its is a primarily solid ball with a radius of about 1220 kilometers or 760 miles.
  • Outer core
#Its liquid layer about 2,300 km thick composed of iron.
  • Mantle
#The mantle is more than two thousand miles think and accounts for more than three quarters of the volume.
  • Crust
#Its a hard outer layer that outermost solid shell of a rocky planet.

The core is calm mostly of iron (Fe), the most hot outer core is mentle. The earth ,ass is in the mantle, which is composed by iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), aluminum(Al), silicon (Si), Oxygen (O). The earth interior is a part of seismic waves,. The temperature in the core is hotter than the sun surface. This intense heat from the inner core cause material in the outer core and mantle to move around. This movement cause a large plate made of crust and upper mantle to move slowly over the earth’s surface.
